The Australian Saxophone Quartet (ASxQ) presents Displaced (2025), a major new work for saxophone quartet by Professor Elliott Gyger, exploring themes of individual and collective identity in a globalised world. The program also features works by Australian composers Tim Dargaville, Chris Williams, Evan J Lawson, Keyna Wilkins, and Nardi Simpson.
The ASxQ brings together four of the nation’s leading saxophonists, each of whom has established a distinguished career both in Australia and abroad. Committed to the creation, revival, and promotion of Australian music, the ensemble’s repertoire encompasses classical, contemporary, and experimental genres. ASxQ actively engages with Australia’s diverse cultural landscape through innovative and collaborative artistic projects.
