Labyrinth has been nominated for an Art Music Award

Absolutely huge news!
My dance-opera-piano concert LABYRINTH has been nominated for an Art Music Award for best new dramatic work.

A huge thanks to the amazing team who worked on this Forest Collective show, especially Daniel Szesiong Todd, our incredible librettist 😍

Forest Collective is delighted to announce that Labyrinth has been nominated for Work of the Year: Dramatic at the 2025 Art Music Awards!

The annual Art Music Awards are presented by APRA AMCOS in conjunction with the Australian Music Centre (AMC) to recognise achievement in the composition, performance, education, and presentation of Australian music.

Art Music covers activity across contemporary classical music, contemporary jazz, improvised music, experimental music, and sound art.

We'd like to congratulate composer Evan J Lawson, librettist and tenor Daniel Szesiong Todd, director Cathy Hunt, choreographer and dancer Ashley Dougan, lighting designer Gabe Bethune, costume designer Jane Noonan and the full team of artists who worked on this production for such a huge achievement - Teresa Ingrilli (Ariadne), Girl Whatever (Daedalus), Danaë Killian (the Minotaur, piano solosit), Charlie Macarthur (dancer), Kim Tan (flutes) and Alex Macdonald (viola).

The awards will be held on Thursday 21 August at City Recital Hall, Sydney.
